WLBT Opens Employment Opportunities
Everybody has been affected by the global economic crunch. A lot of workers had lost jobs as companies took up job cuts earlier before the year 2009 starts. Employment really sucked to its lowest rate and individuals find it hard to catch out good jobs due to the tough competition on the job market.
Meanwhile, Mississippi is open for jobs. Just lately, WLBT opens employment opportunities for job seekers. A job fair was held at the North Park Mall last January 21, 2009 wherein a lot of individuals shop for jobs. The job fair starts at 4 pm to 7 pm and there had been numbers of resumes and applications.
In partnership with WLBT were the Mississippi Institute of Aesthetics and the Nails and Cosmetology. There had been 20 employers that set up booths and cater applications.
One job searcher said, “There are great opportunities for people looking for jobs.”
“I was just in the mall today, and I just saw different jobs that were applying, and I’m looking for a job.”
Several job searchers came from different places and are very eager to know what good opportunities were hanging out and are waiting for them.
Comcast recruiter, Elizabeth Christian said, “We’re located in Madison. Our center opened up July 2007, and we’re currently looking for customer account execs anyone that can troubleshoot our customer phone internet and cable.”
On the other part, Cedric Grizzel (WLBT’s Director of classified internet sales) said, “Businesses are still thriving, and people are still looking for career opportunities. Then you have your typical job seekers that possibly got laid off their jobs and are looking for income.”
The job fair was an opportunity that one shouldn’t miss and it is a big help for everyone who had been searching for a particular job.
