A Workshop for Youth Employment Action PlanEmployment growth is moving slow in most nations all through out the world. Even the highly industrialized countries were also having employment problems which was due to the negative impact that economic crisis brought to the human race. A lot of workers had lost their jobs, which adds higher rate on the population of the jobless. Thousands and millions perhaps of individual are seeking for a job but there is no enough job in the market. Individuals will have to go through a tough competition as to win a single job. However, if one is competitive enough, he can win a job as he fits and deserves it. And for the youth who are leading their way on the job market in the near time, they should prepare their selves as they get into the field.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government opened a national workshop for the creation of the youth employment action plan in Nigeria. This was advocated for the establishment of school vocational clubs for primary and secondary schools. This youth youth employment action plan was made due to the widening youth unemployment in the country. The workshop opening was made in Abuja at which 36 state commisioners, development partners and youth employment experts were being notified.

The Youth Development Minister, Akinlabi Olasunkanmi said, “Today marks the beginning of the design of a multi-sectoral job creation plan as recommended by the United Nations as far back as year 2011.”

“This drive became necessary because youth job crisis can only be resolved by strategies that take into account the demand and supply side of the labour market.”

The Minister had also fihured out that the youth employment action plan is effective which was being proven successful in Singapore, Malaysia, Ghana, Indonesia, India, Kenya and Tanzania. This action is believed to create jobs in various sectors for the youth.
